Puppy Competition on Sunday September 19th open to the public! During our dog demonstrations, we will be hosting a puppy competition! Bring your puppy to our event at noon on Sunday for the puppy retrieving contest. Puppies can be any breed or mix, but must be under 1 year old at the time of the event.

This division is a modern functional decoy.
Made of wood, cork or canvas. with
minimal carving , durable construction of tails and raised wings.
Duck decoys must self -right from any position.Geese, swans and confidence birds are allowed and must self- right from side.

Shore Bird Decoy:
Detailed, one-line painting individual feather or carving of bill detail or feather texturing or carved or cast feet are not allowed. Carving of major feather groups, tool marks left on the wood, rasping, stippling of the paint or scratch painting is allowed
Shore Bird Smoothie:
No restrictions on the painting. Raised primaries and bill detail are allowed
Individual feather carving is allowed, Carved feet and naturalistic settings are allowed but will not be considered in the judging!
Cast feet are not allowed! Texturing & Burning is not allowed!

All carving must be Original in design and concept! Name of artist must NOT be visible.
1. Entries must be made of wood , Other materials may be used for structural purposes and for the creation of habitat. Habitat must be hand formed with the exception of the eyes. Glass eyes are allowed.
2.Any species is acceptable, however , species and sex must be designated on the entry.There is no limit on the completion date, for this years competition.
3. Entries will be judged on Originality, Artistry and Essence of species.
4. Over all presentation.
5. Technique, Craftsmanship and Accuracy.

Here is what we need as of now,
Runners, Helpful caring hands to carry the decoysfrom on location to another..
Bring decoys from the pond back to the place they belong next, Working for the Judges on the tanks where they are judged etc.
Registration: Folks who will help Carvers enter their carvings. Entry forms making sure paper work is in order.
Floor: Folks to help work the floor, take notes from the judging, taking scores, and helping with the organization of the carvings. Etc.
Break down: One of the hardest and most thank less jobs of the show is staying behind and breaking down the event!
